Musical cohorts Brad Lackey and Trevor Havelka joined forces in 2006 with the eclectic band Cedar Circuit and later formed the Carolina Music Awards Americana Artist of the Year winners Bootleg Dynasty. The band performed throughout the Southeast and appeared at Floydfest, Hidden in the Hollow and numerous others. Sharing stages with Lukas Nelson, Larry Keel, Sol Driven Train and many more the band developed an energetic following before parting ways in 2015.
Havelka (Caveman::Beta) continued playing bass in other Wilmington,NC based projects while Lackey (Lucky Gallops) pursued a solo-career. The two reunited in 2021 and began working on new material; performing at local venues and festivals.
“Weeknight Revival” was released in 2022; Lackey and Havelka’s first studio recording as a duo. The album was met with media praise and eventually landed on the Spotify Modern Jamband Playlist.
The band honed their love affair with Americana music and their lifetime pursuits in the EDM and jamband scenes, forming the band SPACEFOLKS in early 2023. Their album “Appalachia” was released on all streaming platforms in April 2023.
